Nivcharot and other organizations support Rabbi David Leibel

Rabbi David Leibel a well-known member of the Haredi Lithuanian community, has been under attack after claiming that the obligation to serve in the military also applies to the Haredi community, and working to establish a special Haredi IDF unit . Demonstrations in front of his house have escalated recently, with extremists holding a siege, breaking security cameras, and even attempting to break in. In response, Nivcharot  and Siha (a group within Nivcharot) convened with other Haredi activists, and under the title  Haredim Who Care, published a petition supporting Leibel on various social media platforms.
